Showing at HGEC
Our riding school students and boarders
are welcome to participate in our monthly In House Shows.
Once a month the "HGEC" family" gets together for a fun day
of showing and friendship. Visit our In

HGEC is hosting a series of 5 In-house
shows this winter. Our "Winter Show Series", which
began on Sunday November 2, 2008.
The summer of 2008 featured 5 open
schooling shows held at HGEC; May, June, July, August and
September. Dates for the 2009 Summer Show Series will be
available in the spring. Details available on our Open
Schooling Shows Page.
Our more advanced students and boarders
will also be attending Primary,
Trillium
and "A" Circuit shows throughout the year.

HGEC Show Volunteers Needed
We are running five Open shows
here in 2008. We will need volunteers to be ring crew,
gate keepers, announcers, score keepers,
entry table staff, food booth attendants, parking control,
ribbon runners, grooms, ring stewards and more.
We cannot run these
shows and coach our competing students all the same day without
help. If you wish to assist, watch our notice board and web
site for information.
If you feel that you will not know what
to do, just see how things function at our In House Shows
and gain experience here first. You can learn to announce,
be ring steward, score keeper and more at our In House Shows
well before we open our gates to other stables.

Bahr Saddlery has provided great
sponsorship for our shows, both the In House and Summer Series.
They have chosen to sponsor the Medal & Showmanship Divisions
in the following way;
- A gift will be given to the Champion of the Medal Division
at every in house show.
- A Perpetual Trophy will be provided for the In House
Show Year End Awards and this trophy will remain at Hunter
Green on display with the winners name engraved on a plaque.
- They will give a take home gift to the Year End Medal
Champion of the In House Show Series
- For the Summer Series they will provide gift certificates
to the champion and reserve champion of each Showmanship
Division in all four shows.
