In House Shows

Each year Hunter Green Equestrian Centre hosts a series of In House Schooling Shows.

The shows are open to ALL HGEC students from beginners to advanced riders.

These shows are a great opportunity for students to test their skills in a low stress, fun environment. These shows are also great preparation for those students who are planning to show in open shows.

All students are encouraged to participate.

Placing ribbons are awarded for each class to 6th place. We want to encourage our beginner riders and ensure they enjoy showing. In our beginner and novice divisions, no one leaves the ring without a ribbon. If the competitor does not place in the top six of the class they will receive a Great Effort ribbon.

At each of the shows in the series, the top points earner in each is awarded the Division Champion Ribbon, with the second highest points earner receiving the Division Reserve Champion ribbon.

  • 1st place = 7 points
  • 2nd place = 5 points
  • 3rd place = 4 points
  • 4th place = 3 points
  • 5th place = 2 points
  • 6th place = 1 point

In House Show Series Year End Championship Awards

At the end of the In House Show Series, points earned over the whole series are combined to determine the In House Show Series Year End Champions.

The Series Champion Prizes are awarded at the final show of the Series.

The Series Grand Champion is awarded to the competitor with the highest total points for the Series. The Grand Champion also has their name engraved on the HGEC Grand Champion Perpetual Trophy. The Series Reserve Grand Champion is awarded to the competitor with the second highest points total.

The top points earners in each division are awarded the Series Division Champion and Series Division Reserve Champion awards.
