The Hunter Green Equestrian Centre
2006 Special Awards

Sportsmanship Award
This special award is presented to the student who displays outstanding sportsmanship both in and out of the competition ring.

One who is always willing to assist others and who congratulates them on their accomplishments no matter how large or small.

This students enthusiasm towards other is within their nature and is not rehearsed of manufactured. They are willing to give pointers and helpful hints to their competitors without thought of how this may affect their own ribbon and point standings; a strong competitor but yet an even stronger sportsman.

Horsemanship Award
This special award is presented to the student who displays outstanding horsemanship at all times. The student is always conscious of the horses' physical welfare as well as the horses' feelings. This student takes extra time grooming both before and after class and is thorough in their task. He/She shows a truly genuine concern for their mount for the evening as well as all the other horses and ponies in the barn.

In the competition ring this student is not concerned with the colour of the ribbon he/she may earn, but is concentrated on advancing the training of the horse and is thrilled with the smaller, more subtle accomplishments. He/She has a competitive edge but is, at heart, a true horseman.
